Department of Pharmacognosy

Pharmacognosy Department in Diploma in Pharmacy was established with the establishment of Fabtech College of Pharmacyfrom academic session 2019-2020.Plant components are identified, extracted, isolated, and characterized as part of the study, and their pharmacological effects are examined in this department. The Department is having one Pharmacognosy laboratory. The labis equipped with all advanced instruments like Camera Lucida, dissection microscope, moisture balance, hot-air oven, muffle furnace, heating plate, heating mental, and water bath etc.The Department is maintaining a herbal garden within the campus with more than 40 species of important medicinal and aromatic plants. This Department provides facilities for the identification, extraction, isolation, and characterization of crude drugs. Additionally, this area offers sufficient space for the creation and standardization of herbal formulations.
